What is Reiki and how does it help?
I am a fully qualified Reiki Master/Teacher.Reiki is a simple but potent Japanese technique that promotes balance and healing. It supports personal development and change. It works on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Reiki helps in various ways including but not limited to:
Promotes natural self-healing
Balances energies in the body
Relaxes and reduces stress
Increase self-awareness and calmness
What to expect from a session:
People often feel nervous when they first decide to have a reiki session and want to know what to expect.
Reiki should be a relaxing experience where you are able to disconnect from the woes and worries of everyday life.
We will spend the first 20 minutes discussing your needs and concerns. Thereafter, you will move over to the massage table. You will lie on your back, fully clothed. It is recommended to come in comfortable clothes so you are able to relax easily. I will hold my hands above your body while you close your eyes and rest. My hands remain suspended above the body and I work with the chakra system to move, or "comb energy" to clear blockages and create balance between the chakra energy centres. Most people feel a sense of calm during the session, as though they enter a meditative state, while others feel a little heat or warmth, other people relax so much, they fall asleep entirely! It is advised not to overthink and instead just relax. After the session, we will have a 5 minute chat about anything that came up and how you are feeling.
You may feel tired after the session and relaxed - this is perfectly normal as the energy has moved. I recommend you drink water after the session to rehydrate and try to take it easy for the remainder of the day.
